New Digs...

...elsewhere.

This blog gets neglected more than it gets updated. Someday I will renovate my website to reflect my needs more efficiently – perhaps including a blog – but until then I will be using my Instagram account and my Tumblr to express my feelings, dreams and desires. (Or just cool stuff I think is neat.)

I also have a Facebook page if you wanna keep up with more art-related stuff in a Facebook-y kind of way.

Thanks, and hope to catch you in another time, another place...

Nursery concept

As you have probably figured out by now, we are currently in the midst of renovating our 1940's raised bungalow (of which I am in desperate need of updating on the blog, especially our progress on the kitchen, our biggest project). Our most recent focus has been on the second bedroom, which until now has been a makeshift office space – but will need to be turned into a nursery, pronto! Above is the concept I am jumping off of in terms of furniture pieces and basic decor, although I know it will need to change based on what I can actually afford and what is available to me in Canada.

I love the idea of keeping the nursery from being too pastel/baby, and giving it a more neutral, sophisticated feel while bringing in a few youthful accents. We know we are having a girl (!), but I don't want to go the pink route automatically. I think sunshine yellow and Tiffany blue brings enough femininity without being overwhelmingly girly. I'm currently making some curtains in these colours... will share the progress as I go!

Do you have a nursery? How did/would you decorate it? Any suggestions/advice/links would be welcome!
